‘ఏదో బద్దో బలీరాజా దానవేంద్రో మహాబలా:తేనత్వం అనుబంధామి రక్షమాంచమాంచలం’ అంటూ రక్షకోరిన తన సోదరిని బలి చక్రవర్తి రక్షిస్తూ ఎలాంటి ఆటంకాలెదురైనా తడబడక ధైర్యంతో ఎదురొడ్డి నిలిచాడు. అటువంటి మహావీరునితో తన సోదరుడిని పోలుస్తూ సోదరి తనకి రక్షణ నివ్వమని కోరుతుంది. ఈ రాఖీ కట్టిన సోదరికి తగిన బహుమానం ఇస్తూ ఆశీర్వదిస్తాడు. రాఖీ పౌర్ణమి, శ్రావణ పూర్ణిమ, జంధ్యాల పూర్ణిమ ఇలా ఎన్నో రకాలుగా దేశమంతా ప్రజలు ఆనందోత్సాహాలతో ఈ పండుగను జరుపుకుంటారు. దేవతలు, ప్రకృతి ఆరాధన, ఆత్మీయత అనురాగబంధాలు, సకల పూజారాధనలు అందుకునేది ఈ శ్రావణ పౌర్ణమి. కారణాలు, చరిత్రలు ఏవైనప్పటికీ ఉన్మాదం, విచక్షణ లాంటి వెకిలి చేష్టలతో మానవతా విలువులు మంటగలుస్తున్న ప్రస్తుత కాలంలో రాఖీ పౌర్ణమి తన విశిష్టతను చాటిచెబుతూ సోదర ప్రేమ పటిష్టతకు దోహదపడుతుంది. తెలుగు రాష్ట్రాల్లో తమ సోదరులకు సోదరి రాఖీ కట్టి, మిఠాయిలు తినిపిస్తారు. మనం రాఖీ పండుగను ఇలానే చేసు కుంటాం.

ఏడాదికి వచ్చే ద్వాదశ పౌర్ణమిల్లో శ్రావణ పౌర్ణమికి చాలా విశిష్టత ఉంది. సాధారణంగా జంధ్యాన్ని ధరించేవారు ఈ రోజునే పాతది వదిలి కొత్త దానిని ధరిస్తారు. దీనినే ఉపాకర్మ అంటారు. ఉపాకర్మను యఙ్ఞోప‌వీతం పేరుతో పిలుస్తారు. దీనికి అంటే యాగ కర్మతో పునీతమైన దారం అని అర్థం. పాల్కురికి సోమనాథుడు దీనిని నూలి పౌర్ణమి అన్నాడు. ఎందుకంటే నూలుతో తయారుచేసిన జంధ్యాన్ని ధరించడమే దీనికి కారణం. వేద్యాధ్యయనానికి ప్రతీకైన ఉపాకర్మను ఆచరించాలి. దీనికి ముందు ఉపనయనం జరిపించి జంధ్యాన్ని వేయడం ఆచారం.

యఙ్ఞోప‌వీతం ధరించినవారు ద్విజులు. ద్విజులు అంటే రెండు జన్మలు కలవారని అర్థం. తల్లి గర్భం నుంచి జన్మించడం మొదటిది కాగా, ఉపనయనం అనంతరం గురువు నుంచి ఙ్ఞానాన్ని పొందడం రెండోది. ఉపనయం సమయంలో యఙ్ఞోపవీతానికి జింక చర్మాన్ని కడతారు.దీనిని ఉపాకర్మ కార్యక్రమంలో శ్రావణ పౌర్ణమి నాడు వదిలిపెడతారు. ఉపనయనం అయిన వారు జంధ్యాల పౌర్ణమి రోజు గాయత్రీ పూజచేసి కొత్త యఙ్ఞోపవీతాన్ని ధరించి పాతది విసర్జించాలి. పరిపక్వతకు, పరిశుద్ధతకు యఙ్ఞోపవీతం దివ్యౌషధం. ఇది ఉపనయన సంస్కారం ఉన్నవారికే పరిమితమైనా మిగతావారు కూడా అష్టోత్తరాలతో గాయత్రీదేవిని పూజిస్తే సకల శుభాలు కలుగుతాయి. అవివాహితులు మూడు పోగుల జంధ్యాన్ని, వివాహమైన వారు మూడు ముడులున్న తొమ్మిది పోగుల జంధ్యాన్ని ధరిస్తారు.

పూర్వం భద్రాద్రిలో నీటి కొరత తీవ్రంగా ఉండేది. స్వయంగా శ్రీరాముడే కొలువై ఉన్న ఈ పవిత్ర క్షేత్రం కరువు కాటకాలతో కళావిహీనమైంది. 16వ శతాబ్దంలో నిర్మితమైన ఈ ఆలయం తొలుత ఏకశిలపై వెలిసింది. కాలక్రమేణా నీరు లేక నిర్మానుష్యంగా మారిన ఈ దివ్య స్థలాన్ని భక్తులు మరచిపోయే స్థితికి చేరుకున్నారు.

సుమారు 150 ఏళ్ల క్రితం, గోదావరి వరదలు పోటెత్తడంతో మళ్లీ ఈ ప్రాంతానికి పూర్వ వైభవం వచ్చింది. ఊహించని విధంగా వరద నీరు రామాలయానికి చేరుకుని, స్వామివారి మూలవిరాట్ పాదాలను తాకింది. ఇది స్థానికులకు ఒక దివ్య సంకేతంగా అనిపించింది. అప్పటినుండి భక్తులు మళ్లీ రావడం మొదలుపెట్టారు.

నల్లరాతితో చెక్కిన సీతారామ లక్ష్మణుల విగ్రహాలు భక్తులను విశేషంగా ఆకర్షిస్తున్నాయి. నిత్య పూజలు, ఉత్సవాలతో భద్రాద్రి మళ్లీ కళకళలాడుతోంది. కార్తీక మాసంలో ప్రత్యేక పూజలు నిర్వహిస్తారు. ఎంతో చరిత్ర కలిగిన ఈ ఆలయాన్ని దర్శించుకోవడం ఒక అద్భుతమైన అనుభూతి. భద్రాద్రి రాముని కరుణా కటాక్షాలు అందరిపై ఉండాలని కోరుకుందాం.
